Fausto Carmona is ridiculous

By

Besides having the coolest name in baseball, dude’s got the sickest stuff I’ve seen in a long time. He just struck out Dustin Pedroia on a 98 mph sinker that bounced a foot in front of the plate. Wowza.

Little known factoid about the guy: when the Indians signed him for $25,000 out of the Dominican, he was a 6’2″, 120 lb 16-yr old with no teeth – they’d all rotted out from eating sugar canes his whole life. Not all aces come as prepackaged hype machines, you know.

This guy’s just ridiculous, and it’s so much fun to watch. Comment on the game here if you please.

Guess he’s not so great after all. Jesus christ, the ball went under Cabrera’s glove, and then Ortiz gets the shittiest hit ever.

    You’ve jinxed him. Nicely done!

Eh, what does it matter, he’s not pitching for the Yanks.

YEah Mike! You jinxed him!!! You know he reads the blog between innings. The pressure was just too much to take! Why did you do that?

  • A. Phil

Yeah, YM, I was just about to say that. Boy, if only Jorge, Wanger, and Jeter showed up last series. Cleveland is not better than the Yankees, by NO means.

    • Mike R.

Nicely done. The reverse jinx. This is incredible. I’m NEVER going to win the lottery!

I’m rooting for Cleveland. I wouldn’t be able to take F’n sawx fans running their mouth for another year.

  • A. Phil

    I completely agree.

  • Mike R.

Sizemore is incredible. What do you think? Damon and Mussina for Sizemore. :)

    • http://riveraveblues.com Mike A.

Too bad Omar Minaya isn’t calling the shots for Cleveland, we probably coulda got Sizemore, Adam Miller & Asdrubal Cabrera for Moose!

      • Mike R.

And the fans would love him for it. Minaya is an enigma. Great comment.

Are Red Sox fans chanting MVP for Mike Lowell? Hahahahaha

    • Mike R.

They should keep it up. Maybe the brass buys the hype and signs him to a 12 year 360 million dollar contract.

Papi was so clearly the Sox best hitter. People care way too much about counting stats.

    Thanks Eric!
