In what will be the first of four attempts at Division Series sweeps, the Phillies and Brewers are set to square off tonight. The Phillies haven’t won a playoff series since they won the 1993 NLCS. For all of your Yankee needs, we looked today at Bobby Abreu’s contract, a rebound start by Andrew Brackman and Kevin Maas.

Game time is 6:37 p.m.

Mike Pop says:

Im feeling alot of runs today and a Brew crew win

Mike A. says:

I just want a good game. That’s all I ask. These playoffs have sucked so far.

UWS says:

Not entirely. I’m enjoying Tampa’s little run, as well as Phils’.

Mac says:

I just find the start times for all of these games ridiculous/arbitrary.

Mike A. says:

Dave Bush, arguably the greatest closer in NCAA history.

E-ROC says:

Hopefully, the Brewers will score this inning.

UWS says:

Jamie Moyer just needs to pitch like Mike Mussina.

E-ROC says:

slow ass curve at 66 mph

UWS says:

Anatomy of a rally:

Walk, walk, wild pitch, sac fly, single.

Mike A. says:

Doesn’t have to be textbook this time of year.

Ivan says:

Brewers off to a good start.

Ivan says:

Moyer with the blazing 81 MPH fastball.

Mike A. says:

And, as we all know, anything less than 92mph means he can’t be a successful big leaguer. Shame.

Ivan says:

Feliz can sure glove it at third base.

Ivan says:

Jason Kendall was once an All-Star in 00.

Steve says:

With all this talk about CC wanting to go to the west coast, I cant for the life of me figure out who is going to give him 22 mil out there.

Mike A. says:

Wow, Corey Hart is in some kind of slump.

UWS says:

He won’t be winning any prizes for his baserunning any time soon, that’s for sure.

pat says:

i cant wait to watch kimbo beat ken shamrocks face in

Ivan says:
pat says:

tonight i think like 9pm on cbs

E-ROC says:

Ken Shamrock withdrew from the match. EliteXC is looking for a replacement as I type this.

pat says:

WHAAAT are you serious.. WHY??

E-ROC says:

Yeah. MMAFrenzy.com

pat says:

Shit that sucks i would have loved to see kimbo destroy him.

Ivan says:
pat says:

ohh now i see u meant really as in u think shammys gonna win. yea i like kimbo real fighters hate him bc hes making so much money and hasnt fought anybody real. I just think hes mad cool and wanna see him beat some ass. What would be more fun to watch kimbo blowing up shammys face with a 1-2 combo or ken shamrock wrestling with him on the ground?

Mike A. says:

Isn’t Kimbo the guy that used to work in porn as a security guard or something?

Ivan says:

No, he was a street fighter and gain notoriety from youtube.

pat says:

he started out as a bodyguard

pat says:

yea and do crazy streetfights for money you can check them on youtube hes fucking huge and scary looking. Theres a fight where he punched a dude so hard his eyeball was hangin out.

E-ROC says:

lol, He probably has. Kimbo became famous just from beating up people in his backyard. He is probably in the youtube HOF.

Mike A. says:

Yep, I knew it:

As Kimbo Slice, Ferguson worked as a bodyguard for RK Netmedia (otherwise known as RealityKings), a Miami-based pornography production/promotion company responsible for a number of popular adult subscription websites

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kimbo_Slice

Ivan says:
E-ROC says:
Ivan says:

That Reality Kings site.

Manimal says:

unfortunately, i know that site too.

Ivan says:

Hit em where they ain’t victorino.

Mike A. says:

Victorino obviously didn’t gamer or energize that line drive into the outfield enough.

E-ROC says:

Damn, the Phillies are hitting the pitches right at the fielders. I guess that’s good defense.

UWS says:

Victorino could run the ball to the plate faster than Moyer throws it. Heh.

Ivan says:

Man it seem every hard hit ball by the phils are at the defense.

UWS says:

This game is frustrating as all hell to watch, and I’m not even really rooting for either team.

Mike A. says:

Yeah, another thrill-a-minute rollercoaster.

E-ROC says:

Why pinch hit for Moyer? I know his pitch count was getting up there, but I’m sure the Phillies could’ve gotten another inning out of him. Plus, Moyer can hold his own at the plate. Wasted Stairs right there.

Bill N says:

Don’t know about you guys but Moyer was definetly getting squeezed in the 1st 2 innings

E-ROC says:

Cameron in pinstripes will be fun to watch.

Manimal says:

just wait till AJAX is called up.

Ivan says:

Smart move taking out your SP after he settled down. In the postseason it’s imperative to squeeze as much out of a starter as possible.

Ivan says:

The Brewers are a good example why SP is so vital and why Joba should be in the Rotation. Despite the fact that their BP sucks, when you got horses like CC and Sheets and Gallardo, you alwas have a chance to win and makes everything around you better.

A sucky rotation is worse than a sucky BP. Agreed?

Mike Pop says:

Idk ask the mets.. o wait they have both sucky things sorry you cant ask them hehe

UWS says:

Their rotation was serviceable. Johan might’ve had 20 wins if the ‘pen didn’t blow up with such regularity behind him.

Mike Pop says:

ya i was jus makin a funny.. but their bp lol @ that

Ivan says:

Cory Hart taking pitches and now he walks on 4 pitches. There’s no way the Brewers are losing this game.

E-ROC says:

The Brewers only have three runs on the board. C’mon Phillies!

Mike Pop says:

I relly hope Brewers push it to 5 but than idk who id want to win

Mike Pop says:

Corey Hart pulling a Damon

Bill N says:

wow Hart has some shitty luck….
Phils tie the game this inning

Steve says:

OH COME ON! THE GROUND CANT CAUSE THE FUMBLE!

SOMEBODY TELL MANUEL TO THROW HIS CHALLENGE FLAG!

UWS says:
Steve says:

UWS says:

This is a stupid, stupid move by the Brewers. 95% sure it’ll come back to bite them on the ass.

Bill N says:

I don’t understand why I keep having this nightmares where Frank Calendo dressed as Donald Trump is trying to sell me Viagra

E-ROC says:

Howard looked safe.

Manimal says:

Kimbo Update:

Seth Petruzelli or Aaron Rosa will likely face Kimbo. It is rumored that Ken Shamrock suffered a cut above his eye.

Manimal says:

can we have a thread just for the fights? Seems like we have some fans here.

Steve says:

How about a whole website for you guys?

Somewhere farrrrrrrrr away from here.

Steve says:

CC is going to look good in Pinstripes next year.

‘West coast’ my ass.

Steve says:

Oops. Didn’t belong here.

E-ROC says:

I’d much rather see The Pit Bull kick Kimbo’s behind, but ‘ol well, somebody eventually will. Petruzelli is ok. Not sure about Aaron Rosa.

Manimal says:

Im new to MMA, I have no idea who anyone is besides Kimbo and Gina Carano ;)

pat says:

very sketchy that less than 24 hrs before the fight shamrock is doing sparring without headgear. i think he pussed out

E-ROC says:

A headbutt open the cut. Petruzelli is a light heavyweight and Dave Meltzer is saying it will be Petruzelli facing Slice.

pat says:

i dunno too much about him people online think he will whip kimbo but errbody hates him so who knows

Samsonov KGB says:

whats up with that new affliction brand? any good? i watched the opening night and thought it was good, havent heard about it since

pat says:

if you wear their t-shirts it makes you tougher

Manimal says:

OMG NHL 09. Its the end of the season in my league and MVP chants were CRAZY during home games.

Steve says:

CC is going to look good in pinstripes next year.

‘West coast’ my ass. Please.

Steve says:

So will Jake Peavey, who is available according to Buster Onley.

Ivan says:

I think he could be had for a great package.

Like Hughes, A-Jax, Betances, Romine, and Montero.

Remember, how much the D-backs gave up for Haren, and consider that Peavy is better than Haren and he’s under contract for a couple years.

Seriously, that’s too much, too much. That’s a trade that could set up a franchise for ten years.

Steve says:

Thats a bit steep. I’m thinking Hughes, IPK, Cox/Robertson and Romine/Cervelli will get it done.

Peavey is signed for 8 mil next year, then 15-16-17 and a 22 mil club option for 2013. That is WAY more pricey than Haren was, who was signed cheap. That will depress his trade value by limiting the number of team willing to bid on him, like what happened to Santana.

pat says:

yea gina carano is pretty hot

Manimal says:

She fucked up that other girls face. Her face is still sexier than ever.

E-ROC says:

I could see Gagne and K-Rod in the Mets bullpen next year.
