so since the cha tis blocked and i cant see anything i just had to say that gardner is taking this job. two hits today and a run scored. as pete abe said melky pretty much ahs to hitchike home at this point

I think it means quite a bit. BG is competing for an everyday job in the majors with the Yankees – I mean yeah, his performance in ST won’t translate 100% into what it will be in the major leagues, but neither will Melky’s. Right now, Gardner is definitely in the lead for winning the CF race.
the fact that melky is out of options means melky qould have to really play like melky and gardner would have to sustain his current pace.
