A-Rod’s rehab progressing well

By Mike Axisa

As he works his way back from surgery to repair a torn labrum in his hip, Alex Rodriguez has intensified his workouts and is still on target to return to the team in mid-May. He started throwing yesterday, and has been taken dry swings with a bat. A-Rod’s also been working out in a pool and performing range-of-motion exercises. “His rehab is taking another step,” says Joe Girardi. “He seemed like he was in a good frame of mind. We miss him, and he misses us.” A-Rod will arrive in Tampa in mid-April and continue to rehab there. He can’t come back soon enough.

Too bad for him it’s all cold here in Colorado and it’s snowed a lot and is supposed to snow more.

Jay Leno: An emotional day in Colorado, where Kobe Bryant’s accuser is scheduled to meet the defendant face to face for the first time since the alleged incident.

… Face to face? … That’s not what I heard!

John says:

Well, a story came out a while back that A-rod is enjoying many women as they come in and out of his place. Vail has those blonde skiing chicks…

Johnny says:

AROD got injured?!?!!

when did this happen?

dkidd says:

jeter would be back by late april

John says:

Dont jinx it…we cant lose him too.

Jeter would have been back already. He’d tell the trainer to just cut his hip off, Ronnie Lott style, so that he doesn’t miss a single inning.

Jamal G. says:

Who cares? According to PeteAbe, the team is better without him.

Cody Ransom >>>>>>>>>>> ARod the babyraper

A-who? Yankee camp has been so nice without him…..

Matt says:

So, just a hypothetical that I don’t think will happen. Say the Yankees don’t perform well at the plate during A-Rod’s absence. Will you, and the people who think like you, realize that Rodriguez’s presence in the lineup and on the team helps the Yankees?

Scott of 3 Kids Tickets says:

No….Personally I think A-lex would have made them worse…lol

I can’t speak and wouldn’t for “people like me”…Lord help them all…. :>

-Scott

Matt says:

So you really think the Yankees would be better with Cody Ransom (or someone like him) at third base for a whole year instead of Rodriguez?

Ok. Not liking is one thing, but the belief that he “makes them worse” is simply absent reality. Look, I believe A-Rod is fairly unlikable, and I believe you have a legitimate claim that you would prefer to root for an A-Rod-less Yankee team. He does not however make the team “worse.”

Problem solved. You’re welcome Cash!

Gary Sheffield last played third base on any real basis in 1994.

A-Rod ahead of or on time in his recovery. Clear evidence that he is on HGH. Er, wait, um. Well, it works for Pete Abe and the rest of the Mediots…
