A-Rod heading to Tampa on Monday
ByGood news for the Yanks courtesy of Bryan Hoch: Alex Rodriguez will be arriving at the Yanks’ facility in Tampa on Monday to ramp up baseball activities. A-Rod underwent surgery on March 9 to temporarily repair a torn labrum in his right hip, and in a text message exchange with Joe Girardi yesterday, A-Rod said he was feeling good. In fact, he was spied riding a stationary bike while watching the game yesterday. The Yankees, meanwhile, are holding true to their May 15 expected return date for A-Rod, but the whispers of a late April or early May return continue to grow louder. That day can’t come soon enough.

I’m betting that he makes his return in that 2 game series against Boston at the Stadium May 4-5.
john i totally agree on that i have a feeling that well see arod in that series.
Main thing is that everything is progressing nicely. A-Rod will really solidify this lineup, and looks like Matsui could have a monster year hitting behind him.
let’s hope when he comes back that baltimore and toronto aren’t still in 1st place!!1!1!!!1!11! hahahaha
Well I’ll take the Yanks being 1 game out, even if its in 5th place.
A-Rod’s MVP seasons: 2003, 2005, 2007, 2009…
Jeter is this years MVP.
I hope arod missing this april will finally make people realize hes the best player on our team and we need him
Fat chance.
Jon, ARod missing this April just because he’s injured just shows me that he’s selfish and puts his own health before the best interests of the team.
He’s an evil fascist baby raper.
So true.
Didnt he sit out all of May last year? Yeh..
Can’t wait till he’s back! It’s only been one game, but as in life and in baseball, you don’t know what you’ve got till it’s gone. He’s the best damn player on the universe! Go Alex!
Arod cant come back soon enough. He just makes this line up so much more powerful.
Jeter
Damon
Tex
Arod
Matsui
Posada
Nady
Cano
Gardner
When you have Cano batting 8th, where I think on most teams he would be batting 3rd, thats a pretty solid lineup
That would be the most fearsome non-Bernie Williams-lineup we’ve had in decades.
Wait arod was watching the game? I thought he was all about himself?
No no, you’re confused. A-Rod was the one who was so self-obsessed with baseball that he had the gall to question Cap’n Jeets on why he didn’t order MLB Extra Innings to watch all the baseball games.
