Yanks meeting with Chapman delayed

By Joseph Pawlikowski

Once we found out that Cuban lefty Aroldis Chapman was coming to New York to speak with various GM’s about potential employment, it was only a matter of time before we heard the Yanks were scheduled to meet with him. Well, as ESPN’s Jorge Arangure tweets, the Yanks meeting with the southpaw was pushed back because the ALCS is running a little long. Don’t worry, I’m sure Chapman and his agent will give the filthy stinkin’ rich Yankees every opportunity to bid for his services before making a decision.

Lanny says:

Chapman will get more than Contreras got. Hes 21 without a hint of being false. Hes left handed. He throws 100. Top picks with frontline stuff dont hit the open market like this.

jsbrendog says:

no he won’t because contreras was basically like a reg free agent and ml ready mostly. this guy is unpolished and a couple years away. there is no guarantee he even ever makes it and puts it together.

i doubt highly he gets paid ml free agent type big bucks.

Also, Contreras had a ridiculous track record in international play. 8 perfect innings in relief against the USA in the 2000 Olympics, the Ben Sheets game.

jsbrendog says:

the blame arod meme has left the station eh?

JMK aka The Overshare says:

Oh yeah, that ship has sailed. The Girardi is a “Retardi” is definitely flying high, though.

I blame Obama’s death panels.

JMK aka The Overshare says:

I have enough “Pete the Moose” meat to last me through the death panel period.

Suck it, libtards!

Preemptively complain about people questioning Girardi?

Mr. Max says:

MLBTR gave me the impression that Chapman will be in attendance at Game 6.

JMK aka The Overshare says:

The Ax-man (not A-Jax or Axl, mind you) works for MLBTR, so I’d bet he’s more qualified to verify this than the rest of us.

Can’t wait until interleague play one day when we can refer to Chapmn’s Homer.
