Duff throws a scoreless frame in Surprise loss
ByShortest DotF ever?
AzFL Surprise (4-2 loss to Scottsdale)
Grant Duff: 1 IP, 1 H, 0 R, 0 ER, 0 BB, 0 K, 0-3 GB/FB – 8 of 12 pitches were strikes … PitchFX had him at 93.59-95.3 with the fastball, while his one slider came in at 86.6

God, I miss DOTF. Can’t wait to hear about DeLeon, A-Jax, IPK, Man-Ban, Viz, Dellin, Brackman, Slade and J.R. For shits and giggles, I’d really like to see what Talerico brings. For someone that “confident”, he’ll need to back it up.
I’m pumped to see what Warren will do over a full season of pro ball.
Yeah, totally forgot about him. Anyone else you’re really pumped to see? It sounds stupid but I really want to see what Gary Sanchez does when he hits the States (2011, it would seem).
Well, you forgot to list the most obvious…Jesus Montero
He was so obvious I didn’t include him. It’s a given.
As per our Salty friend, Jesus for sure, Slade, too. I’m excited for Z-Mac to get a whole season at AAA, too. I like him a lot.
Meh, it’s not like I’m not excited. I’m just more intrigued by high-upside guys. Z-Mac profiles as more of a back-end sort of guy. That’s cool, and very valuable, but it doesn’t rev my engine.
Guess I’m a sucker for a sure thing.
I’m willing to bet that Gary Sanchez debuts in the States next year.
Really? Why’s that?
He’s way to good for the DSL. He is as advertised. By the end of next year, Axisa will have him in his top 3. Guaranteed.
Stop it, you, I’ve got firewood raging in my pants!
And some others are Nova, Turley, Heredia, Nunez, Brooks, and Stoneburner.
I thought Duff had a 100 mph fastball
People have a tendency to say someone has a 97,98,99, or even a 100 mph fastball when they may only hit that mark once or a few times in their career.
