One of the questions most frequently asked of us concerns the Yanks’ single-game ticket sales. “When will it be?” fans wonder from December until nearly Opening Day. Well, the wait is over, As the Yankees announced via Twitter this afternoon, a limited number of single-game tickets will go on sale this Friday at noon via and Ticketmaster by phone. Next Wednesday, March 24, tickets will be available at the Yankee Stadium ticket windows, Ticketmaster outlets and Yankee Clubhouse Stores. The team hasn’t said how many tickets are available, but based on the number of season ticket packages sold, it won’t be many.

The snarky/obnoxious comments are starting to wear a little thin.

This is my first one of that variety, but I’m definitely noticing a trend with you, sir.
Sorry to offend. I’ll try to keep my ‘facts’ to myself from now on.

It might be snarky, but Stubhub is probably most people’s best bet for tickets.

Not expecting to get anything from the primary market this year since I wasn’t able to last year. Maybe if I buy a Pirates season plan, they’ll be able to swing me some OAK@NYY. Those guys’ll do anything to get people in their park.

What kind of prices do tickets in the 200s, 300s, 400s cost? I haven’t been to a game in forever and want to take 3 friends with me to a Sox or Phillies game if possible.

Also, if I want tickets to those games, how hard will it be to get if I try to buy on Friday?

    • Chad D

Don’t want to burst your bubble, but expect only limited $300+ tickets available for any premium games.

They already had a pre-sale for season ticket holders and the premium games were sold out.

  • Section 39

Judging from what was available during the season ticket holder pre-sale on Monday, there will not be much in the way of seats for any of the premium games (Opening Day, Red Sox, Mets, Phillies, Old Timers Day). They still haven’t sold out the expensive field level seats, but outside of that, everything was essentially sold out for those games.

already threw down $5,400 on two 20 game packages, 2 seats per package

My dad runs the bus trips for our town and he called the yankees ticket office the other day about schedulng 1 or 2. They told him that the only tickets available for bus trips this year will be Audi Club, Mohegan Sun Sports Bar or Batters Eye. That’s crazy demand.
