Pettitte’s simulated start pushed back a day
ByAccording to the NY Post, Andy Pettitte will not throw his scheduled simulated game today. He was experiencing a tight hip flexor. The upshot: the start is moved back just one day. Presumably that would move back his rehab start in Trenton to Wednesday. But we’ll fill in those details as we get them.

As I said: someone tell me not to panic please.
(Also, Pettitte scratched from simulated action. OIC.)
They updated that article from the first time I read it. It’s because he has a tight hip flexor but Cashman’s saying he’s not concerned.
(weeps openly anyway)
Cashman said he was not concerned about the setback and that Pettitte would throw in the simulated game on Friday.
Emphasis mine
Bexy, dont panic, take a couple of deep breaths.
At this point, a setback is not what we need as Yankee fans. If he can pitch in October, I’d say good chance they win.
awesome point Jon!!
Thanks blazini, you sound like an intelligent person. Perhaps you can help me understand advanced metrics like OBP and WHIP. I can’t seem to grasp these concepts on my own. I guess I’m just a little slow mentally, haha.
I have no idea who’s being serious and who’s being sarcastic in this little back and forth.
If I told you they were the same person, would you be shocked?
Please tell me you’re joking. Please.
Wish I could. They are one and the same.
…
People scare me.
Shirley Mason is now a regular poster here.
That is hilarious and bizarre.
Blazini out!
That should be your pothead nickname. The Great Blazini.
I have a friend who has me in his phone as Smokey McPot.
Sir-Smoke-A-Lot: Lemme got a pound of your sweetest cheeba.
Thurgood: Oh, man, something TOLD ME to bring a lot of weed!!
After tsjc said he didn’t know who was sarcastic or not I read the posts again. Then I went down the line to find out they are the same person.
I’m not even sure what to think or how to react.
Joe, Mike, and Ben are really the same person aren’t they… We have been duped.
Have you ever seen them in the same room at the same time?
Anyone who as at the FanGraphs event did
Insanity. I don’t even know what to say.
Now, now, they COULD be two different people who happen to be behind the same firewall at work AND happen to be having a conversation back and forth, but it LOOKS like they’re the same person since the connected IP address matches up. Haha.
You just can’t predict technology! Or baseball, for that matter.
we have a winner!!! late afternoon office hijinx…apologies, but bonus points for the sterling reference, well done
I also apologize. If anyone gives you a prediction…LAUGH AT THEM. Who would have predicted this!?
This is one of the most hilarious turn of events to ever happen at RAB. I thank you, the great Blazini.
Perhaps. Besides, i’m not sure what the big deal is, the Yankees will probably win the simulated game without Pettitte anyway
Thanks! Good point too about the simulated game. They probably let them win all of them!
In all seriousness though, the yanks have a light schedule over the next 10 days or so with KC, Det, and Sea, why rush him anyway? The more rest he gets now, the more frickety fresh he’ll be later on…blazini, Out!!
I see! Now I understand. Good bye, friend.

Oh man. Please say this is a good thing.
I don’t think we need to panic. it could be nothing. He could throw tomorrow and everything be perfectly fine.
but i don’t see how this news could be considered a “good thing”
If he’s not set back then why doesn’t that qualify as a ‘good thing?’
I guess if its not a set back its a good thing…but the fact that he has been pushed back at all wouldn’t be a “good thing” in my book.
Please say this is a good thing.
This is a good thing.
Let’s remember it’s raining in Tampa with the GCL games cancelled down there. I wouldn’t have Pettitte out there throwing on such a wet day.
Must… not… make… the… comment… I… want… to… make…
It’s pretty wet down there… I’ll just do some long-toss inside the compound instead.
Sincerely,
Andy Pettitte

Hah, that was pretty much what I was gonna say, but not that subtle. :X
I think Mashmore and Josh Norris just orgasmed while Bexy cries into a baseball glove that covers all of her face except her eyes…
I always have a tight hip flexor, according to the trainers I’ve worked with. I can get in there and pitch tomorrow, if necessary. No idea whether I can throw a ball 60 feet, 6 inches, but I’m ready.
