It was odd watching all the ex-ball players whine about outlawing head shots. Up to the late 1960s, the close-line tackle was legal and often used. So was a head-slap, made famous by Deacon Jones. It’s as weird as watching people whine about mandatory motorcycle helmet laws and mandatory seat belt laws.
