Teixeira feels fine after hitting in cage, will play tonight

August 20, 2012 by Mike 3 Comments

Aardsma scheduled to throw bullpen session today
Game 122: First vs. First

Via Meredith Marakovits, first baseman Mark Teixeira said his sore left wrist felt fine after taking swings in the batting cage today. He says he’s going to play tonight, but the lineup has not yet been posted. Teixeira did not play at all against the Red Sox this past weekend due to lingering soreness in the wrist he originally injured on a swing and aggravating diving after the ball. He received a cortisone shot a few weeks ago.
