Update: Jeter day-to-day with bone bruise on left foot

Raul Ibanez! homers twice in Game Three walk-off win
Ibanez comes off the bench, carries Yankees to Game Three win

11:36pm: Jeter is day-to-day with a bone bruise and there is a chance he will not play tomorrow. I bet he DHs. He suffered the injury when he fouled a ball off the top of his left foot in the first, so this isn’t the same injury that hampered him in September.

10:10pm: Derek Jeter was lifted from tonight’s game with an apparent leg injury in the ninth inning. He had been hobbling since his third inning triple, though I don’t know if it’s the same left ankle bone bruise he battled late in the season. Jeter struck out to end the eighth and was replaced by Jayson Nix, and it had to be pretty bad for the Cap’n to come out of a playoff game. Stay tuned for updates.
