Granderson goes hitless in latest minor league rehab game

In his latest minor league rehab game with High-A Tampa, Curtis Granderson went 0-for-4 with two strikeouts. He flew out to center and grounded out to first in his other two at-bats while playing the entire game at DH. Nicholas Flammia says Granderson will work out in Tampa tomorrow and continue his rehab stint with Double-A Trenton on Tuesday. Before this afternoon’s game, Joe Girardi hinted Curtis could be return to the team for next weekend’s series against the Padres.

I just got goose bumps thinking about Granderson and Cervelli returning to a lineup that now has Jeter and Soriano in it, and still has Robbie, Ichiro, and Gardy.

Now guys like Overbay, Wells, and Stewart can play there complementry roles, which all 3 are best at doing. I realize Overbay will be playing most days, but not in heart of the order offensively anymore.

Still need a RH 1B man

Ya, and every team needs something. Point is, its 1000times better then what we had and lengthens are lineup considerbly. I didn’t say they were gonna now be without a single fault.

I’m just happy they are getting these guys back, while somehow staying close enough in the WC standings to make a run at it.

Really Goosebumps? I would hate to see what happens if Teix and Alex were in there…

At least Granderson will add power to the lineup
No need to hurry back Hafner !

We need Grandy to hit behind Soriano. Then they’d at least have a good 1-5. If they’d let A-Rod play they’d have a good top 6 with Ichiro 7th. The only weak spots would be 1B and C.

I have a feeling we won’t be seeing A Rod anytime soon so not even worth mentioning his return.
