- Here are the bullpen and batting practice groups, via Billy Witz. He also has the pitchers’ fielding practice groups. CC Sabathia, Aroldis Chapman, James Kaprielian, Chance Adams, and Jordan Montgomery were among those to throw today.
- Tyler Austin was on crutches in the clubhouse. He suffered a fractured navicular bone in his left field during batting practice and will miss at least six weeks. “This isn’t the worst thing I’ve been through. I’ll get through this,” he said. [Meredith Marakovits]
- Position players reported today and, as far as I can tell, everyone is now in camp except Jacoby Ellsbury. His wife is due to give birth soon, so he’ll be away from the team for a few days. No other visa issues or anything like that.
Here is the open thread for the rest of the day. The NBA All-Star Weekend skills competition thingee is on tonight (8pm ET on TNT), plus the Devils and Islanders are playing (each other) as well. There’s also a ton of college basketball on too. Talk about anything other than religion and politics.
