DotF: Bird, McKinney continue rehab assignments in AA win

After playing 24 games in the last 25 days, the Yankees have a fairly light schedule this week. They have off-days today and Thursday. There’s another off-day next Thursday too. They have eight games in the next eleven days. The bullpen could use the breather. Anyway, check out David Waldstein’s article on the Yankees quietly sending flowers to the families of police officers killed in the line of duty. A small gesture, but a nice one. Good stuff, Yankees.

Here is an open thread for the night. ESPN will have the Rays and Royals tonight (ESPN must’ve picked that game in 2014), MLB Network will have a regional West Coast game later on, plus there are NBA and NHL playoff games tonight. Talk about those games or anything else here, as long as it’s not religion or politics. Thanks in advance.
