- RF Billy McKinney: 1-3, 1 BB, 1 K
- LHP Justus Sheffield: 5 IP, 4 H, 6 R, 6 ER, 3 BB, 1 K, 1 HR, 7/5 GB/FB — 50 of 86 pitches were strikes (58%) … ugly outing, though five of those six runs scored in the first inning, so Sheffield was able to settle down a bit after that

- DH Gosuke Katoh: 0-4
- LHP Reiver Sanmartin: 5 IP, 4 H, 2 R, 1 ER, 0 BB, 4 K, 3/6 GB/FB — 38 of 56 pitches were strikes (68%) … organizational debut for the 22-year-old southpaw, who came over from the Rangers in the Ronald Herrera trade over the winter
- RHP Domingo Acevedo: 3 IP, 1 H, 0 R, 0 ER, 0 BB, 3 K, 0/2 GB/FB — 24 of 34 pitches were strikes (71%) … second game back from the disabled list (blister), second straight three-inning relief outing … I wonder if this is temporary, or a legitimate shift to the bullpen (probably the former)
High-A Tampa Tarpons (4-0 loss to Dunedin)

Dominican Summer League Yankees (5-1 win over DSL Rockies) I don’t normally update the DSL games, but their season started today, so here are the notables
- CF Antonio Cabello: 1-3, 1 BB, 1 K — signed as a catcher last year, but he’s such a good athlete that the Yankees are putting him in center
- LF Raimfer Salinas: 0-4, 1 BB, 4 K — the Yankees signed Cabello and Salinas with part of their leftover Shohei Ohtani money this past offseason
- 3B Ronny Rojas: 3-5, 2 R, 1 2B, 1 HR, 3 RBI, 2 K — pro debut for last year’s $1M bonus baby
