So here we are, the first open thread of many this offseason. It doesn’t feel that weird yet because there is still baseball to be played, at least five more games, just none involving the Yankees. Yeah it stinks, but that’s life. Time to move on and focus on the offseason, which I’m guessing with be the most active for New York since the 2008-2009 spending spree.

Anyway, you folks know how these things work by now, so feel free to talk about any non-politics topic here. The Cardinals have a chance to advance to the World Series with a win over the Giants tonight (Lynn vs. Zito, 8pm ET on FOX), and that’s pretty much it sports-wise. Have at it.
