Henn, Edwar up; Karstens, Brower gone

By

Via Peter Abraham come roster moves. Edwar Ramirez and Sean Henn have been recalled while Jeff Karstens was sent down to Scranton and Jim Brower was probably DFA’d. Chris Britton continues to linger. In another move, the Yanks DFA’d Kevin Reese to clear a roster spot for Jose Veras at AAA.

  1. Joseph P. says:

    Chris Britton continues to linger.

And by that, Ben means that Britton continues to sleep with Cashman’s wife.

  2. Freddy says:

Hopefully Edwar can get some actual playing time now.

  3. Marc says:

Edwar must have ended his affair with Cahman’s wife in order to be called up.

  4. Jersey says:

This is good news. I don’t fear Henn the way I do some of these other guys…I hope he doesn’t make me eat my words.

  5. NYFan50 says:

Edwar comes up to never pitch. What a waste. I hope they give him a better shot this time. We know Torre will use Henn…

  6. yankz says:

Isn’t Carlos Gomez the dude who compared Hughes to Jaret Wright the day before the Texas no-no?

i dont trust a lot of what he says, but some of it is useful. he’s one of many scouts who have been wrong about many and right about a few. Consider this:

    #28 – Boston Red Sox – P Daniel Bard

An absolute steal at 28. Good arm action, although a bit on the long side. Easy velocity and good tempo and separation between upper and lower body. I’d like to see a side shot to check out stride length, glove arm movement and “intent.” Give me this guy over (Andrew) Miller, his teammate, any day.

Hey, I’ll take 2/3. Britton will get the call soon at this rate. I hear Villone’s name being called already if Henn does well.

  9. zack says:

Until I see Gomez be right about something, he can speculate all he wants about arm angle, mechanics etc. Me, I’ll trust Hughes and the Yanks system, considering what they have been doing with pitchers and mechanics lately…

  10. [...] (8-2 win over Syracuse) Brett Gardner: 0 for 4, 1 K Kevin Reese: 1 for 3, 1 R, 1 HR, 1 RBI – recently DFA’ed Alberto Gonzalez: 1 for 3, 2 R, 1 2B, 1 BB, 1 K Erubiel Durazo: 1 for 2, 2 R, 1 HR, 1 RBI, 2 BB, 1 K [...]
