The meaning of a save

By Benjamin Kabak

In this game, Rangers reliever Wes Littleton earned his first save of this season. Why is this significant? Because the final score of the game was 30-3. If that doesn’t show you the relative value of a save, then nothing will.

That’s funny.

Check this out, I’m not sure what’s best:

Baltimore was winning 3-0 at the top of the 4th.
The Rangers’ 8th and 9th hitter EACH batted in 7.
Kason Gabbard scores the win; Gagne lives in Boston.
The Orioles have punked us too many times this year.
I thought OUR bullpen suffered last night.
Texas scored all 30 in 4 innings.
