*Facebook Like* This is SO awesome.
As the years have gone by, I’ve been convinced that the Yanks really do practice that play. But it doesnt matter. That game was so tense and that play came out of nowhere. Still one of my favorite sports memories.
I can’t believe that was a decade ago. That means that there are a few posters on here that probably didn’t see that play live…or if they did, didn’t really understand what they were watching. Time goes by too fast.
And at least one that was there, in the left field stands…
this is in fact really cool
where is this poster available?
I was thinking the same, might just get someone to blow it up and frame it for me.

As well as other he has done. The Anatomy of a Double Play are great
Anatomy of a Double Play:
Step One: Pencil Jeter in to bat in the two-hole.
Step Two:…
Proof that UZR, and WAR for that matter, is useless.
/Chass
You just can’t account for pigeons on the field….
And Moneyball is useless. Also because the Red Sox traded for some guys in 2004.
EPIC!!

For those who missed it live!
thank you thank you… i remember it, but not well enough…
It’s hillarious how Jeter’s detractors grasp at straws when claiming that Jeter was:
A) Wrong to go out of position
or
B) Impeding a ball that was one hop away from Posada
Talk about revisionism.
I wonder how many times they replayed that play during the game.
I read somewhere, maybe ESPN.com, a ballot for greatest Sports play (not MLB, ALL Sports) of the Century. The Flip won it. Of course, if they did biggest Fuck-up of the Century, it was Giambi Jr. not sliding.
One little mental gaff, and it literally cost them the playoffs.
Must have been the ‘Roids.
Great print. Would love one for the office!
