McCullough: Yankees have not reached out to Aubrey Huff
ByVia Andy McCullough: The Yankees have not reached out to free agent Aubrey Huff in the wake of Mark Teixeira‘s wrist injury. McCullough’s source simply said “no” when asked if the team inquired.
Huff, 36, hit .192/.326/.282 (76 wRC+) in only 95 plate appearances for the Giants last season while battling anxiety disorder and a nagging knee strain. He originally hurt the knee jumping over the dugout railing celebrating a walk-off win. Huff didn’t hit while healthy in 2011 — .246/.306/.370 (87 wRC+) in 579 plate appearances — so it wasn’t a one-year slump. That 2010 season with the Giants (144 wRC+) sure looks like a last hurrah.

Eeesh. I didn’t realize he was that bad last year. Alrighty then, pass it is.
We need a new tag for posts like this: “Troll Grenade.”
More like Troll-nip. brings em right in and makes them nuts!
Who are 3 people who have never been my kitchen?
That last contract he signed with the Giants was a head-scratcher for me.
Ya really.
Usually, he has had good even years (2008, 2010), horrible odd years (2009). 2011 I expected, but 2012 was certainly out of the ordinary career path.
i know people with anxiety disorders, and i can’t imagine them playing baseball in front of 40,000 people
“Anxiety disorders” account for a large range of diagnoses.
Thank God, they do have some standards.
NO interest because he’s too young… Amirite?!?!!!?
