The Yankees have outrighted righty Alfredo Aceves to Triple-A Scranton. according to the MiLB.com transactions page. Chris Cotillo says he has accepted the assignment rather than elect free agency, so he’ll join the team in the coming days. Aceves was designated for assignment last week to clear a spot on the 40-man roster for lefty Wade LeBlanc. He remains in the organization as a non-40-man roster player. I don’t know if that is a good thing or bad thing. He was pretty terrible. I guess hanging onto the depth is fine.
