- Baseball America (subs. req’d) released their updated farm system rankings today and the Yankees are all the way down at No. 17. “The graduations of Gleyber Torres and Miguel Andujar have thinned out the top of this system, but there plenty of upside remains,” says the write-up. Give me the No. 17 farm system and a big league team on pace for 100+ wins over a bad big league team and the No. 1 farm system every time.
- Yankees prospects will play for the Glendale Desert Dogs in the Arizona Fall League this season, the league announced. They’ll be on a team with Dodgers, Indians, Orioles, and White Sox prospects. Every year I hope Yankees players get assigned to the Salt River Rafters because the ballpark has Statcast, but no luck. The AzFL rosters should be announced in 2-3 weeks.
