Posada working on borrowed time

When Jorge Posada returns to the lineup tomorrow, the Yankees will in all likelihood field what would have been their starting nine all along. It will be a good day for a Yankee fanbase growing sick of Jose Molina and Chad Moeller. But for how long will it last? Posada admitted today to Ed Price that he will need surgery this year. I just hope he doesn’t make his shoulder worse by playing now instead of getting the surgery over and done with.

Holy geeze. It sure would be nice to have a good, young catcher to bring all these young arms along. I wonder if St. Louis or Seattle would be interested in Jeter for Yadier or Clement? We could slide Arod back to SS and trade for Atkins. Combine those moves with signing Tex and Dunn in the offseason, and we’d have a nice little offense (and improved defense).

Jeter for Yadier? There would be riots in the streets. Regarding defense, I think A-Rod has outgrown short stop by now– Jeter’s probably better than him at this point.

Jeter would never play for another team. He would retire first.

How sure are they he won’t hurt it worse if they don’t do something now instead of later.

isn’t this the same (or close to) injury kennedy has? does that mean he’ll need surgery too?
