Open Thread: Giants look to return to NFC Title Game

By Mike Axisa

Donovan McNabb, Jake Brian Westbrook and the rest of the Iggles storm into the frigid Meadowlands today, looking to get back to the NFC Title Game for the first time in five years. The G-Men were there just last year obviously, but they’ve lost three of their last four games. The bye week should have helped, as it gave Brandon Jacobs’ knee and Justin Tuck’s leg (amongst other walking wounded) a chance to rest up and get healthy. The two teams split their regular season matchup. This should be a good one.

In other local football news, the Jets will interview Ravens’ defensive coordinator Rex Ryan for their head coaching position today. I approve.

Chat away about the game here. Enjoy.

Giants stadium is going to explode the first time brandon jacobs and brian dawkins collide.

Kevin G. says:

There we go Bradshaw!

pat says:

Fu*k Yo couch Philly

Manimal says:

Nice 4th down conversion

Manimal says:

Either set up a screen or dont, don’t try to set the “natural pick” like the commentator said.

Kevin G says:

That’s right keep stopping Westbrook.

Kevin G says:
Mike Pop says:

He did look good in that suit. He required to wear that?

pat says:

Giants love making things easy for the eagles

Manimal says:

Short gains manning, then we can incorporate the run

Manimal says:

I hate the offensive coordinator, hes so predictable

A.D. says:

Eli isn’t looking so hot

Moshe Mandel says:

I know he has gotten a rep now as a winner, but does anyone agree that Eli has become a bit overated? His stats should not have put him in the probowl, and his completion percentage is still not spectacular. Without that power run game, he’s a middling QB. He got better last season when Bradshaw got hot and supplemented Jacobs, and had the great running game all year. He’s above average, but I wouldn’t call him a probowler and there are at least 8-10 QB’s I would take over him. Anyone agree?

A.D. says:

Yes, I would take Philip Rivers over him as the immediate comparison

E-ROC says:
Moshe Mandel says:

No definitely not. In the NFL. And I just ran through them and this is what I came up with, guys I would take over/equal to him for next season, assuming health.

Definitely: Warner, Roethlisberger, Peyton, Brady, Brees, Rivers, Rodgers.
Maybe: Romo, Hasselbeck, Cutler, Ryan, McNabb.

Mike Pop says:

You would take Rodgers over him but not Romo. Come on now. Obviously a Pack fan.

Moshe Mandel says:

True, here’s my rationale. I basically took all the people with better stats than Eli over Eli. Rodgers put up better numbers in his first year as a starter. Romo should have been in the first category, but I docked him for the fact that he seems to shrink in the big game. Rodgers has no big game experience, but I would rather have that unknown than know my QB is gonna come up small in the big spot. If you think that is unfair, that’s fine.

Mike Pop says:

Hah, I don’t really care that much. Just found it funny. But I guess you think “Tony Choke-O” will never win the big game. We shall see soon enough. I think he will, our offense should be just too good next year. The defense could improve a bit with a new safety and maybe add another linebacker cause Zach Thomas is probably gone. Roy Williams is better than he showed in his time with the Cowboys, he had planter fasciitis and he was never thrown the ball. Calling it now, Cowboys win the NFC East next year.

Moshe Mandel says:

It’s funny, I was really on the fence with Romo, but I figured that on a NY fan board, I would get more flack for putting him in the Definite category than the maybe category. Forgot about the resident Cowboy fan.

Mike Pop says:

All my hate to the Giants aside,I would take Jay Cutler over Eli also. I would take Romo too but I’m a fan of his so that probably does not count in your mind.

Mike Pop says:

“your”–giants fans on this thread

E-ROC says:

Taking Drew Brees over Eli Manning is a definite choice. Romo and Hasselbeck are maybe’s.

pat says:

8-10 qb’s you’d take over eli manning?? You’re joking right?
Peyton
Brady
Brees
Rivers
Jay Cutler?
Carson Palmer??
Donovan?
Kurt warner?-give me fitzgerald and boldin ill put up 4000 yards
Tony CHOKE-O (yes i trademarked that)
Ryan Fitzpatrick
Vince Young?

You can make the same argument for alot of other QB’s that they’re surrounded by alot of talent of that hastily made crappy list only the top three I would take over ELi.

Mike Pop says:

Okay good for you. When it is not a tandum of Jacobs and Ward next year thenradshaw and Jacobs don’t equal what the run game did this year, you can have Eli and you will lose.

Ivan says:

You forgot Big Ben.

Kevin G. says:

I know Mike’s favorite team is the Jets, but what’s Ben and Joe’s favorite football team?

Mike A. says:

Joe = Jets
Ben = Giants

Abe says:

Does anyone understand those “G” commercials? Please shed some light.

Jake K. says:

They’re for Gatorade.

Tim says:

Jim Edmunds for centerfield (yankees)?

Manimal says:

against the youth movement. Could work but I doubt it.

A.D. says:

I doubt it, he can’t really play CF anymore, so they might as well go Damon in CF with Nady & Swish

Manimal says:

Nice special teams play

Ivan says:

Come on Westbrook.

He must not be healthy.

Ivan says:
Mike Pop says:

Heh, Donovan tried to play it off after the call like someone was there.

pat says:

dont blame donovan, he didnt know intentional grounding in the endzone was a safety

Abe says:

I don’t think anyone knew that (Idk if you’re serious or not)

Abe says:

yea people know that

pat says:

I made the safety signal from the comfort of my couch

A.D. says:

Plenty of people know that, just like holding in the endzone is a safety, but he was joking off the “I didn’t know you could tie” quote

pat says:

we need more jacobs to soften the d THEN ward.

waswhining says:

so who are we trading for with the NATS? I don’t get the rumor. Sorry to interrupt the game. Go eli, nice passs

Mike Pop says:

Lol at this comment, just kinda funny

Ivan says:

Well at least the Eagles are slowing down the running game.

Mike Pop says:

Your lucky Plax is not in this game. G-men are missing him bad here.

Ivan says:

pat says:

yea no shizzit, he above all else made eli look like an awesome quarterback. It’s pretty easy to throw td passes when your receiver is 7 inches taller than the nearest DB

A.D. says:

Wow Hixon didn’t catch a pass…shocking

Manimal says:

That was inches from a catch, nothing hixon could have done

Ivan says:

46 Yd FG attempt in the Swamp, aint easy.

pat says:

Looks like he thought it was gonna get pushed left but it was dead straight from the second he kicked it.

Manimal says:

WTF, why would we waste a roster spot with tynes if he isnt there for long field goals. I would rather have Tolefson, who is inactive today because Tynes took his spot.

pat says:

wasnt the length that was the problem it was just wide right.

pat says:

Eli runs the no huddle like nobody’s business i wish just ONCE they’d try it before the end of a half.

Moshe Mandel says:

McNabb seems to be just a little bit of a loser- you always expect bad things to happen to him and for him to have that confused look on his face. He’s a good QB, but I’m glad he does not play for my team. Reminds me of Bledsoe in that way.

Ivan says:

Yea he is a loser. All he does is win with the least amount of talent in the NFL.

Moshe Mandel says:

I didnt mean loser as in losing games, I meant it as in not knowing the NFL rules about overttime and throwing up in the SB.

Mike Pop says:

Ugh, don’t say Bledsoe lol.

Tom Zig says:

RAB didn’t say “play nice”

Manimal says:

Giants don’t play nice

8)

Word.

Manimal says:

Phili isn’t doing shit if we lose this game its because we beat ourselves

pat says:

Ivan says:

Hey the way the birds are playin, they should be hyped they got the slim lead.

Moshe Mandel says:

Ok, who wants to see Taken?

A.D. says:

was just talking to my friend about that

pat says:

never was i more happy to see somebody get shot then when that chicks character got killed on lost.

Moshe Mandel says:

Whoa whoa whoa. Which one was she on Lost?

Moshe Mandel says:

Forget I asked, just looked her up. Cant believe I missed that.

Mike A. says:

One of my buddies saw an advanced screening. He said it was aight.

Moshe Mandel says:

Ahhh….dont kill the just seen the commercial buzz with the inevitable wishy washy reviews and critical derision.

That guy says:

I just watched it a couple days ago. Was pretty good. Ending was a little weak but its a good watch.

Ivan says:

The way Eli is throwing the ball, he’s pretty damn vulrable to the pick.

A.D. says:

nice defense by Boss to break that last one up

Ivan says:

Giants go for it here or just take the points?

Mike A. says:

Take the points. Especially in the playoffs.

LiveFromNewYork says:

Was suspending Plaxico for the year the right thing to do?

A.D. says:

given that I doubt he would be physically able to perform… yes

LiveFromNewYork says:

forgot about the bullet hole. lol.

pat says:

Yeah. He’s pretty fu*ked. NY does not take unlicensed firearms lightly

LiveFromNewYork says:

With Bloomberg calling for his head.

pat says:

COME ONNNNNNNNNNNNnn 4th and 1 you have brandon jacobs and youre kicking this bullshit

Mike Pop says:

This is what is going to happen to the Giants with Carney as your kicker.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kTGco82JKHo

pat says:

u know this was comin mike

heres what you get with tony romo as your QB
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v.....p;index=40

Mike Pop says:

That ball was oiled up .

pat says:

Wouldn’t surprise me to hear Tony loves oiled balls.

Mike Pop says:

Well he did’nt love that ball because he fumbled it and lost the game. But good attempt at humor there even though your joke made no sense. You should of said something like:

“I thought Tony HOMO loved oiled balls”, ya know something that made more sense.

pat says:

Sorry i was concentrating on watching my team in the playoffs I was a little bit distracted didnt give the joke %110, my bad.

Mike Pop says:

It’s okay bud. Next time you just give that extra effort and it will be a better joke.

(Comments wont nest below this level)

Ivan says:

1:24 with a TO, Eagles can certainly get some points here.

Mike Pop says:

Not with the way you’ve been playing.

Ivan says:

I think you might be wrong.

Mike Pop says:

Heh. Stepped it up there, got the momentum

pat says:

gmen are gonna block this fieldgoal and take it to the house

pat says:

Ivan says:

Excellent drive by the Eagles there. Why coulnd’t they do that more often is beyond me but oh well Eagles got the lead.

Mike Pop says:

Fox pregame/halftime crew or CBS’s ?

Mike A. says:

OMFG 24 starts tonight. I forgot all about it. Praise be to Mo.

Moshe Mandel says:

Another thought. Anyone else agree that the NFL gets more and more parity every year, and its starting to make the league suck a bit? There are no great teams anymore, no teams that have that aura going where it shocks you to seem them lose. I think the three best teams in the NFC last season (Cowboys, Packers, last years Giants), and the three teams in the AFC (Colts, Pats, Chargers) were all better than any team this season, and it gets a bit worse every year as the talent continues to be spread around. I just find that compared to MLB, NBA, and even NHL, the NFL playoffs are killed by an entire slate of blah games between a handful of solid teams. The only compelling matchups thus far were Chargers-Colts and tonights Chargers game, and ultimatly, even SD is an 8-8 team. Anyone else?

Mike Pop says:

The Ravens/Titans was a compelling matchup in my opinion.

Moshe Mandel says:

Yeah, there are good games, but only bc both teams are nothing special. Solid teams, but not really great.

E-ROC says:

Parity is good. I don’t see any blah games on the slate. Chargers-Steelers is a huge match-up. Yesterday’s games were great too. Chargers wouldn’t be in the playoffs if Denver handled their business which they didn’t and Shanahan was fired for it.

Moshe Mandel says:

Interesting. I thought Ravens-Dolphins, Falcons-Cards, Vikings-Eagles, Cards-Carolina, and to a lesser extent Titans-Ravens were all matchups that did nothing to bring in a casual fan. I’m a die-hard, so I watch all of the games every year, but I just find myself less interested in the storylines because it seems like more bad teams make it every year.

E-ROC says:

What teams that made it are bad?

Moshe Mandel says:

Seriously? Bad may be a strong word- how about not good. I think its fair to say that although the Cards are playing well now, they looked awful for a large chunk of the season. The Vikings same deal, the Eagles were wildly inconsistent, and the lone team in the NFC divisional round that played well all year got knocked out in the first round, the Falcons. In the AFC, the DOlphins dont particularly impress me, and the Chargers were wildly inconsistent until a Denver collapse let them back in. I just felt like a lot of the playoff teams are the kind of teams that you look at at the end of the season and say “how did they get in? Was their schedule easy or something?”

E-ROC says:

There isn’t anything you can do to change that. Teams have to execute in this league be successful. There will always be surprises in the playoffs as teams will suffer injuries and strength of schedule will always play a part.

Moshe Mandel says:

Yeah, but it would become ok if the teams on top were good enough to be counted on to knock the bad teams out. But all the teams are on a lower level.

(Comments wont nest below this level)

A.D. says:

It goes through swings, usually based on injuries & schedule. While I agree that there are less dominant teams this year than last part of that was Brady, Romo & Peyton’s injuries.

Moshe Mandel says:

Seriously, Pam Oliver? Sideline reporters=huge waste of time.

Ivan says:

Kevin G. says:

It’s funny watching Robbins run.

Ivan says:

That’s a small victory.

Ivan says:

Big play there by McNabb and Avant.

Ben K. says:

This is a pathetic display of defense right now.

Ivan says:
Mike Pop says:

I guess white guys can’t be wide receivers.

Ivan says:
Steve H says:

A.D. says:

giants d is blowing now

pat says:

thank you barry coefield for cleaning out your middle linebacker

Moshe Mandel says:

McNabb looks jittery on those screen plays- too quick to throw the ball- not selling them.

Ben K. says:

Oh good. A costly injury. That should make watching the rest of this game even more frustrating than it’s already been.

Ben K. says:

Please allow some more third-and-long conversions.

Moshe Mandel says:

Who has the wind at their back for the fourth quarter?

Ivan says:

Got the lead but the Eagles need TD’s not FG’s.

Kevin G. says:

Another Jason movie.

Ivan says:

Oh wow another “Friday The 13th” movie. I didn’t even know that they were comming out with one.

Moshe Mandel says:

That’s a great throw.

Ivan says:

No doubt. On the Money.

A.D. says:

alright completing a pass down the field

Moshe Mandel says:

I hate windy games and other assorted weather altered games- that Bills Pats game week 17 was stupid. It totally changes the game.

LiveFromNewYork says:

but that’s real football. elements etc.

Moshe Mandel says:

I dont mind cold, even snow. In those games, both teams have the cold and the snow. With wind, the direction you are going makes all the difference- one team has the disadvantage at a time.

Abe says:

Yea i don’t agree. Not to sound like Mike Ditka but football is more than just winning in domes. You have to be able to adapt to stuff.

Ivan says:

Great Job Eagles. Knew it he would miss that FG.

pat says:

Reggie C. says:

Carney misses. This isn’t going good.

Ben K. says:

Nice. So that’s six points off the board because of Carney. Pathetic.

Ivan says:

To be fair, 46 and 47 yd FG’s in the Meadowlands in that weather are far from easy.

A.D. says:

over 40 yds = tynes

Mike Pop says:

Heh told ya Carney was going to hurt ya.

Mike A. says:

He couldn’t sneak that one inside the foul pole.

Reggie C. says:

Aikman so badly wants the G-men to lose this one.

pat says:

these long third downs are when we really miss osi

Reggie C. says:

We’ve missed Osi the whole year.

Ivan says:

Wow they call that pass interference………Eagles will take it.

Ivan says:

oh well it was the right call…………Fuck.

Reggie C. says:

A.D. says:

Ivan says:

Gotta get a TD here.

Moshe Mandel says:

One thing they have not mentioned that is important- Iggles have eaten a lot of the clock for the Giants turn with the wind at their back.

Moshe Mandel says:

And as I hit send, he mentions it.

pat says:

Honestly we do not deserve to win this game.

Ivan says:

EAGLES BABY!!!!!

Terrific playcalling as well calling a playaction there.

Mike Pop says:

I guess you can say the Eagles are “flying high”.

Ivan says:

Ivan says:

Gotta go for it there.

pat says:

You have got to go for this

Moshe Mandel says:
Moshe Mandel says:

Check that- his head got a first down, but he did not extend the ball at all. Just short.

A.D. says:

Just QB sneak with Eli

Mike Pop says:

Moshe Mandel says:

If you have any faith in your defense, you need to punt- there’s plenty of time, if you could pin Philly deep, you could get the ball back in the same place, or even force a TO.

Ivan says:

Boy that challenge made really no sense.

Mike Pop says:

Ivan says:

Big stop by the Eagles.

A.D. says:

Moshe Mandel says:

I’m sorry, thats a panic move. 12 and 1/2 minutes left, you can still play the field position game.

pat says:

yes yes start celebrating philly

Ivan says:

Two questionable des by the Giants there:

1. Why would Coughlin challenge that play?

2. Why didn’t Coughlin go to Jacobs there?

Mike Pop says:

Jacobs has been stopped on 4th and 1/inches many times. Also when you give it to Jacobs you start back 2 yards more. I might of went with a direct snap to Jacobs.

Ivan says:

Yea but he’s ya best RB and best Power RB.

pat says:

Agreed, playcalling has been kinda shady today. IMO too much derrick ward in the first half.

A.D. says:

1. who knows

2. Basically you figure eli can get a few inches, handing off to anyone gives the chance for penetration and a backfield stop

pat says:

the giants cornerbacks are very good tacklers.

E-ROC says:

That QB sneak was bad play-calling considering you have a 275lb running back in your backfield.

Ivan says:

Word, you just did the Eagles a favor there not going to Jacobs.

Moshe Mandel says:

Ehh, I dont know. Jacobs is not great in short yardage- he needs to get his legs going to move the pile and carry people- if he gets hit near the backfield, he goes down.

pat says:

G-men will resign jacobs, ward is as good as gone next year.

Reggie C. says:

ahmad bradshaw should step in and fill Ward’s role.

Mike Pop says:

Doubt he will get 1k yards though.

Reggie C. says:

First tight completion pass by Eli.

A.D. says:

ahh the playcalling

Ivan says:

I thought they were gonna throw but went to Jacobs there.

A.D. says:

figure they go playaction… the direct snap was just really, of all the times to bust it out

Ivan says:

WOW EAGLES has been H-U-G-E.

Mike Pop says:

Ivan, your Iggles going to beat the Cards?

A.D. says:

gotta like the cards at home…especially if boldin is healthy

Ivan says:

Why not, we certainly can. But I don’t wanna think ahead here.

Ivan says:

We, I mean the Eagles.

Mike Pop says:

Ya I know. Asante and Dawkins double Fitz? Fitz will still get 100 yards lol, that guy is so good.

Ivan says:

Yea, key would be to pressure the shit out of warner.

Mike Pop says:

Yup. Take him out, get Leinart in there lol.

Ivan says:

Just one TD and it’s over.

pat says:

Ahh yes the giants of old, playing down to lesser competiton. Wonderful.

Ivan says:

Hey last postseason, teams played lesser to you guys.

pat says:

yes indeed, I think we were alot better last year though

Mike Pop says:

Bull. You were a better team this year by far. You just did’nt play well in this game and the Eagles have been hot. But Eli is overrated.

Mike Pop says:

Ugh I keep doing that. ………. didn’t****

pat says:

umm last years team was pretty much the same except had michael strahan osi umenyiora and plaxico burress

Mike Pop says:

McNabb goes to 9-5 in the playoffs while Eli falls to 4-3. Eli’s got the ring though.

Moshe Mandel says:

Why not go for it here? At worst, the Giants need to go 99 yards to get within one score, at best you end the game on that play. They should have run the ball to keep the clocking moving on third down, and gone for it on fourth. Worst case, you give it back with 3.20 left up 9 and the Jints need to go 99.

Ivan says:

Nah gotta take the points there.

Ivan says:

I a lil dissapointed that the Eagles didn’t get a TD there. A FG puts the Giants on life support, while a TD pulls the plug on the life support machine.

Mike Pop says:

My dude, the game is over. Don’t worry so much, bask in the glory.

I’m not sure I want Spags as the Jets HC now…

Abe says:

wow that is an odd comment – they giants D played well today and even if they didn’t that would be a very rash comment. Why???

pat says:

Ivan says:

Pick off, game OVA.

Mike A. says:

Tebow’s going back to school. Good move for him. Shot at a third National Championship, second Heisman, establish himself as the greatest college player ever.

Jamal G. says:

Fuck you, Elisha Manning.

Mike A. says:

Remember, no matter how bad Eli played, Delhomme was worse.

Jamal G. says:

Brooklyn Ed says:

Moshe Mandel says:

Is Eli’s honeymoon over- are Giant fans going to start calling the FAN again looking for his head? Also, does everyone still like parity? Eagles at Cardinals for the right to represent the NFC in the SuperBowl. I’m shivering with anticipation. What a terrible matchup for Fox.

A.D. says:

Especially if Rivers beats the Steelers today the debate can be revisited

Moshe Mandel says:

Like I said, McNabb =loser.

Ivan says:

But he’s in the NFC Championship game.

Moshe Mandel says:

Agreed- listen no one can argue with the fact that his Eagles have always been playoff contenders with often middling offensive talent. But he still comes off as a loser occasionally. Again, I think Bledsoe gave off the same vibe.

Mike Pop says:

Who else in your opinion has that type of vibe? Eli, Cutler, Romo? Just not Rodgers.

Moshe Mandel says:

Seriously? McNabb admitted he didnt know the rules, loved and then hated TO, and puked in the huddle in the SB. Bledsoe was an established starting QB that lost his job to young QB’s who came out of nowhere TWICE. Those guys just had comically bad stuff happen, and both often looked almost confused on the field when things didnt go their way.

Mike Pop says:

Okay. Obviously I’m not a big fan of McNabb but I still think he is a heck of a QB when on top of his game. What happened to Bledsoe, I agree he is a loser. But a loser with alot of money, ha.

Ivan says:

To think that Eli was in the discussion of who was the better Manning.

Moshe Mandel says:

That was a silly manufactured conversation by the media. It was never a question.

Mike Pop says:

Such a dumb discussion.

Abe says:

Never was – at least not by anyone intelligent. Also not having Plex killed the giants in this game.

Jamal G. says:

How is the NFC title game a terrible match-up? “The Greatest Show on Turf Grass” 2.0 hosting Donovan McNabb, Donovan Westbrook and that Philadelphia defense? Those teams have the two best dynamic offenses in the NFC with Plaxico out.

Mike Pop says:

Also watching Fitz work magic is great to see.

Moshe Mandel says:

I’m sorry, the Cardinals are just not that good (9 wins, 6 against that awful division), and the Eagles are just a boring offensive team when Westbrook has a quiet day.

Mike Pop says:

The Giants were just not that good last year, but they came through in the playoffs and came out on top. Patriotswere by far the better team but Giants beat them and it was a great game.

Moshe Mandel says:

I think those Giants were much better than these Eagles or Cards. And the Giants had plenty of buzz about them going into that game bc of how they had played the Pats in week 17. The only interesting story that could still occur is a Pennsylvania SB, and even that doesnt excite me that much.

Mike Pop says:

But the Iggles had plenty of buzz after owning my Boys and what they did after McNabb got benched.

Moshe Mandel says:

Fair enough. I guess that I’ve always found the Eagles to be a boring team- they’ve been winning ugly games for a decade now.

I think I have that for you: http://cdn.faniq.com/images/bl.....II-MVP.jpg

Mike Pop says:

I don’t consider it a pipe dream at all. The Cowboys have a very good shot in 09-10.

How’d Dallas so again?

Kevin G. says:
Mike Pop says:

We went 9-7, didn’t make the playoffs.

Had the same amount of playoff wins as the giants this year.

HAHAHAHAHAH steve smith

Abe says:

Arizona is hosting the NFC championship!

Ivan says:

I feel good. Hey Jamal and to all the Giants fans, ha ha ha, Eagles kicked that ass.

pat says:

BUT…. BUT…. UMM…. STUPID JERKZORS.

I just felt really shitty for like 5 minutes then i realized Pitchers and Catchers report in 33 days

Mike Pop says:

Cards beat you though.

Currambayankees says:

Congratulations Eagles!!! Way to beat the GMen. This year they didn’t have that prayer pass to Dixon from Manning. I guess no stickem on the helmet this time. Thanks for knocking another Manning out of the playoffs:)

pat says:

manning to tyree, and the other receiver is Hixon

Currambayankees says:

Point taken but no matter who the heck the receiveer was they didn’t get lucky this time because lets be honest that lucky play is what got them that championship as they would have been on their way to loosing if he hadn’t made it. Again congrats Eagels and thanks for your work:)

Moshe Mandel says:

How is being in position to beat an 18-0 team luck? And it wouldve been 4th and 5, not impossible.

usty says:

Asante Samuel dropping an easy pick one play before the “catch” is luck. Everyone always forgets that play.

Currambayankees says:

No matter what you say they got lucky. 4th and 5 might be mangiable but it’s not easy.

I was concerned with Westbrook, but as it turns out I should have been worried about the offense because they were a mess

pat says:

I would love to see crabtree in NY

Moshe Mandel says:

That was a spectacular play- if the Chargers win, it will be the 4 and 6 seeds in both conferences. Crazy.

Abe says:

Scifres not off to such a great start today.

Moshe Mandel says:

Yeah, everyone expected the special teams game to be strongly in favor of SD. Football is a crazy game.
