Three more reassigned to minor league camp
ByVia Marc Carig, the Yankees sent righties Grant Duff and Zach McAllister, as well as catcher Jose Gil across the street to minor league camp. This is after nine players were sent down last night. The hard throwing Duff semi-broke out last year, hitting the upper-90′s at times. He wasn’t added to the 40-man roster after the season yet went unselected in the Rule 5 Draft, and there’s a non-zero chance we’ll see him in the Bronx at some point in 2010. Gil is a minor league lifer, and you all know McAllister.

And Jesus stays for another day!
When, oh when, will they send Albie down???
He’s costing us all these mainingless games!
Seriously, though, the guy is hard to watch sometimes. And I used to have high hopes for him…
Agreed. He really sucks. Did not like him last year and dont like him this year. Not really sure what the yankees see in this guy.
He’s, young, cheap and has a career ERA+ of 103. Certainly not trending in the right direction, but worth keeping in the organization.
D’oh!
maininglessmeaninglessA non-zero chance? So you’re saying we will see him.
How can someone who can throw in the upper-90s, at least at times, not be claimed?!
