Yanks sending Burawa, Whitley, and Claiborne to the Arizona Fall League
ByThe Yankees announced (well, I guess the league announced) today that right-handed relievers Dan Burawa, Chase Whitley, and Preston Claiborne have been assigned to the Phoenix Desert Dogs of the Arizona Fall League. Corban Joseph, David Phelps, Rob Segedin, and Ronnie Mustelier were already set to go to the desert. All three righties had fine seasons in 201 and will look to build on that success in the fall.

I know Hughes is ineligible for the AFL, but can he go to the Domincan to pitch in the winter to build more innings?
Sure, but he’ll have to brush up on his Spanish
Fun fact: Septimius Severus was Roman Emperor in 201.
Is that the same Severus who marched his army 800 miles from Vienna to Rome?
Dan Burawa is very special, should be a short time to see him in NYC.
Anyone else we expect to go? Is Hector Noesi eligible to play in the Fall League? He seems like another guy that could really use the innings if the Yankees want to see what he can do as a starter.
That’s it, seven guys per team is the max.
Great to see Chase Whitley’s name on the list. Hope to soon see him on the Yankees roster. You go Chase.
