The Yankees have outrighted left-hander Josh Spence to Triple-A, the team announced earlier this week. Spence was designated for assignment last week to create room on the 40-man roster for Kevin Youkilis. The 24-year-old southpaw was claimed off waivers from the Padres earlier this offseason and has awesome numbers against big league lefties (.222 wOBA against and 26.7 K%) in a really small sample (86 batters faced). He remains in the organization and is currently in line to open the season in the Triple-A Scranton bullpen.
