Yankees outright Josh Spence to Triple-A
ByThe Yankees have outrighted left-hander Josh Spence to Triple-A, the team announced earlier this week. Spence was designated for assignment last week to create room on the 40-man roster for Kevin Youkilis. The 24-year-old southpaw was claimed off waivers from the Padres earlier this offseason and has awesome numbers against big league lefties (.222 wOBA against and 26.7 K%) in a really small sample (86 batters faced). He remains in the organization and is currently in line to open the season in the Triple-A Scranton bullpen.

As he’s a lefty, surprised no team picked him up, yet all teams right now are probably dealing with the same issue: 40-man roster crunch.
I’d actually love it if Miller went through waivers unclaimed. Like him as a depth option.
Yeah, I’d really like to hang onto him.
Miller made it. I’m loving these under the radar reliever acquisitions. Finding the next Corey Wade could be all kinds of helpful.
