Kevin Long making his rounds this winter

Derek Jeter isn’t Kevin Long’s only project this winter. We learned earlier this month that Long and Jeter will work together in advance of spring training, but that doesn’t mean that Long has taken the rest of the winter off. In an article regarding Long’s and Jeter’s upcoming sessions, The Post’s Brian Costello reveals some of Long’s winter schedule. He’s worked with Nick Swisher and Colin Curtis, and plans to meet with Mark Teixeira next week before visiting Alex Rodriguez and Jorge Posada. That sounds like a pretty full slate. Baseball might be a seven-month sport for us, but for these guys it’s year round.

    Jeter to the ninth spot!!

  2. Mickey Scheister says:

I think that Jeter will still bat lead-off and be given the opportunity to show that last year was an off year due to injury. Now if his 2010 level of production rears it’s ugly head again this year, I could see Gardner, if he repeats his 2010, given the lead off opportunity. At the end of the day it’s all about results!

Austin Kearns could not be helped by KLong. This made me happy.

Kevin Long sucks, these guys were winning batting titles before he got here and now they suck at hitting. Bring back Chambliss, Kevin Long stinks, they got beat last year with the best lineup in baseball.
